Sharks!

It’s (finally) that time again! Time to get geared up for the Broadway Sharks Summer League swim season; please read through the following information to help you get ready for the 2025 Shark Season! Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to join. For those unsure of their swimmer’s readiness, we will offer a “Test the Waters” night at the pool before the season begins on Tuesday, May 27, with a Rain Date of Thursday, May 29. Sign up Here!

1. Practices (June 2-July 25) Champs (July 26): Swimmers will be assigned to a practice group based on their age and ability. Registration will open May 1, 2025.

·  Swimmers should bring a towel, goggles, and wear a one-piece bathing suit. Girls should have hair up. Swim caps will be available for purchase. 

2. Schedule Monday through Friday AM: Little Sharks practice is from 8:30am – 9:15am and the Big Sharks practice is from 9:15-10:15am. Please note morning practices do not begin until Monday, June 5, 2025.

3. Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday PM: Little Sharks practice is from 7:10pm – 8:00pm and the Big Sharks practice is from 8:00-9:00pm. Please note, no practices on Thursday, July 4.

4. Pick up and drop off: Swimmers will enter and exit practice through the main gate. Parents/guardian’s should not leave the immediate area (pool parking lot or park) in the event swimmers need to be dismissed, including due to weather.

6. Coming to practice: Please arrive to practice no more than 10 minutes before the start of practice and no later than the time of the start of practice. If attending the first group evening practice, all should remain outside of the gates until after warmups. This will allow for the guests of the pool to leave and pool staff to clean the area. Come ready to swim with a suit on. Do not come to practice if you aren’t feeling well.  

7. Leaving practice: Please exit the pool immediately after practice. 

8. Practice Cancelled Notification: We will do our best to notify you of practice cancellations as early as possible. The Broadway Sharks uses Remind as our communication platform.

9. Meet Information: Meets are as follows: June 17, 24, July 1, 8, and 15, 2025. Champs will be held on Saturday, July 26 at JMU’s pool. To participate in Champs, swimmers have to participate in at least two regular-season meets.

 10. Annual Team T-shirt:  2025 T-shirt designs* are due June 12th; virtual voting will be due on Monday, June 16. Orders will be due Saturday, June 21. Names of team members are on the back of the shirt. Previous Winner Designs

· The t-shirt design will be chosen through a contest, and swimmers are invited to create a design for the front of the shirt. All entries must be submitted on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of plain white paper (either printer paper or cardstock—no lined paper). Designs should use no more than two colors and can be either hand-drawn or created digitally.

11. Shark Gear: These orders will be available through the team store online and can be placed at any time. Please note that this is separate from the annual team t-shirt. More information about the team store and available items will be posted on the website soon.

12. Pictures: Pictures will be taken at the pool during the season, more information will be available.

13. Fee Schedule (2025): 1st swimmer $ 95.00, Additional Swimmers $ 90.00.

15. Stroke & Turn (Parents) – This role is important as we need Judges to be able to have swim meets. More information will follow.
