Good evening,

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Here are some highlights for this coming week – 

Please remember to stay clear of the pool exit until all guests have exited and we have been given permission to enter the pool for the evening practices. It is important that we abide by the pool rules or privileges can be revoked.

Practices – 

Monday – AM (8:30/9:15)/PM (Remaining the same)

Tuesday – AM (8:30/9:15)/PM(Home meet vs. Massanutten)

Wednesday – AM (8:30/9:15)/PM (Remaining the same)

Thursday – AM (8:30/9:15)/PM (Remaining the same)

Friday – AM (8:45/9:30) – Duck Race Tickets Due

The meet will be at Broadway beginning at 6PM. Swimmers please arrive at 5PM and meet in the grassy area outside the pool for stretching. Swimmers will not be allowed in the pool area until at least 5:10PM. Parents are asked to stay in the grassy area outside the pool or near their vehicles until 5:30PM, unless you are helping to set up for the meet. Our team will warm up from 5:00 – 5:25PM. Massanutten will begin warm ups at 5:25 and I have sent an email letting them know that parents will not be allowed in the pool area until 5:30PM.

• Please do not block the entrance way to the pool. Parents, unless volunteering to help set up for the meet, will not be allowed into the pool area until 5:30PM. Please note that we will be setting up the deck a little differently for this meet, so we want to have areas blocked off before parents enter. 
• It is VERY important to put your swimmer(s) three digit number on their body with a sharpie that is easily read and seen. From now on, please place a “B” prior to the number. Make sure it is legible as it is how their time gets recorded. 
• Make sure you and your swimmer know which events they are swimming. Clerk of Course will assist them getting in the right lane and heat. However, the swimmer knowing that information helps too.
• Remind your swimmer(s) to stay in the pool until all swimmers are done. Good sportsmanship is something Broadway strives for.

There will be concessions offered at the upcoming meet. We will be having BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs, chips, drinks, and more.

Pictures are in and will be available for pick up beginning Monday. Makeup pictures are scheduled for the evening of July 7, 2022.

Beginning this Monday, morning practices will be at the following times:

Monday – Thursday

8:30 – 9:15AM Little Sharks

9:15 – 10:15 Big Sharks

Friday

8:45 – 9:30AM Little Sharks

9:30 – 10:30AM Big Sharks

Also, we have been asked by the town/pool to spray down the bathroom floors during the last half hour on the mornings we have practice. This is so the bathrooms are clean when the facility opens to the public at 11AM. Pool staff will clean toilets and do the floors each night between 7-8PM. We have more ducks to sell – don’t forget to submit your duck money/tickets by Friday of this week. Pick up some more! We need new lane lines and some other equipment.
